German Motors is absolutely the BOMB. I've been using Mark and his team at German Motors since 1992. The service is superb, the work is impeccable, and everyone is always friendly and helpful. So I show up today with my 2001 ML320, and a detailed explanation of my exact problem. "It's running like crap and the check engine light is on." A few hours later I get it back and it's smooth as silk! Mark kept my last ML320 running well through 240,000 miles, and it's still running. I drive from Boulder to Lakewood to use them because I can trust Mark totally. He'll always give me a detailed list of issues, cost for each, which need to be addressed right now, and which can be handled later. Had a problem on a road trip a couple of years ago, and went to a supposed MB expert who was having problems figuring out my trouble. I called Mark, got the 'expert' on the phone with him, and he walks the guy through the issue and how to fix it. Sweet! Even hundreds of miles away he's keeping me going and saving me $$$$. If you're a MB owner, you *really* need to give these folks a try. You simply won't find better, but you can sure spend more trying.
Hello Mark and everybody at German Motors!
I want to thank Mark and all the staff at German Motors for all the service you have provided me and my family since 1986. I appreciate not only the customer service, but also the genuine care and professionalism that a lot of other auto repair shops and dealerships lack. Recently my Mercedes-Benz E500 had a vibration issue when driving around at varying speeds. To make this story as short as possible without leaving the important highlights; I took my vehicle to one of the big "Mercedes-Benz Dealerships". My car went up in the air on the lift for no more than 10-15 minutes and the service rep came and told me that the vibration in the car that happening was due to a bad rear differential/axle and needed replacing at the cost of $3417.99. I have a personal rule that in most cases when it comes to house, cars, medical issues, etc. that if a cost of repair or service reaches a certain dollar amount, I usually get a second opinion or even a third opinion and it usually depends on the company or the attitude of the people I deal with.
It seemed very fishy to me when the dealership failed to even take the car out for a drive or even thoroughly inspect my vehicle by taking more time to look at all of the possibilities of what was causing my issue. So I took my car to German Motors and after some thorough inspection it was determined that my rear differential/axle was in excellent condition and was NOT AT ALL the reason causing my problem. The problem was the cars motor mounts that had failed and was causing the vibration in the car. All in all I had the motor mounts replaced, transmission mounts replaced, serviced the T-case fluids, replace the rear drive shaft support and bearing and service the rear differential fluid and spent $1626.70 WOW!!! I spent less than what the dealership wanted and had my problem fixed. Now, can you imagine how mad and furious I would be had I let the dealership do work on my car and my problem would still NOT be fixed. I have lost so much trust in dealerships when it comes to servicing my car. Thank you German Motors for saving me money and helping me keep my sanity. You guys are the best and I trust your work!
German Motors has taken care of me since I bought my first Mercedes in the late 80's. Mark and his crew are knowledgeable, quick, polite and just plain nice. The shop is spotless in front and in back. I have absolute trust and confidence in everything German Motors does - they're first-rate!

Dorothy, Kerri and I would like to express our appreciation for the excellent job you do in maintaining and repairing our two Mercedes. Your timely diagnosis of problems, accurate cost estimates and reliable time estimates are much appreciated. Perhaps most important to us is the honesty, friendliness and cooperation when a vehicle is at your shop for maintenance. We thank you very much.

I've been taking my Mercedes-Benz automobiles to German Motors for service and major repairs over 15 years now. I've also taken my cars to other shops here and there over the years. Hands down, German Motors is the most honest and competent group of automotive specialists I've ever done business with. My 1986 300SDL has 260,000 miles on the odometer, all thanks to Mark, Charles, Billi, Walt, Matt, Chris and all of the other great guys who have kept this car running like new. Truth be told - I'm afraid to drive anything but a Mercedes because German Motors has set the bar so high for all other automotive specialists. I've been referring Mercedes-Benz owners to German Motors for years - I just couldn't imagine them taking their care to anyone else. Thanks again German Motors - let's see if we can make it another 260,000.

I need for you and the crew at German Motors to know how much I appreciate the service that you continuously provide to my son, daughter, friends, and me all of whom have entrusted their cars to you and your excellent staff of technicians. Over the years, we have confronted any number of different issues with the "stable" (280SE, 420SEL, 300D, E420, C280, E430) and I have always been impressed with your ability to assess the problem, repair it appropriately with MBZ authorized parts and to do so at a reasonable costs. Even more importantly, I value the friendly way in which I'm greeted by Billi, either on the phone or when I come into the shop. You are also always available for a least a "hello" and some type of interaction with me regarding my visit. Over the years, Mark, you have become not only my trusted MBZ technician, but a good friend as well. I'm grateful for the referral I received many years ago to your excellent auto repair facility. I got more than I expected! Thanks Mark! Thanks staff!

I have driven a Mercedes vehicle since 1975. With the exception of the first one, the following three have been pre-owned. I first came to German Motors in 1988 with my 1980 300SD on a flat bed. In 1988, when I was given the impression by a local Mercedes mechanic that not only could the repairs be very expensive but he would not know how expensive until he took apart the transmission and he would be glad to buy the car, I called German Motors. I immediately received assurance that the repairs were not expensive and I would have many years of service from the car. Indeed, the repairs were not expensive. Thanks to German Motors' superior service, I drove the car until 1997. It had over 279,000 miles on the original engine when I sold it. Mark Yoakum, proprietor, helped me find a gorgeous, pre-owned, low mileage 1987 420SEL. This vehicle now has over 204,000 lovingly tended miles by Mark and his outstanding staff. I can unequivocally recommend German Motors.

For over 12 years German Motors has provided exceptional maintenance on my 1987 260E. The first time my 206E was serviced by German Motors was in 1992 and it had approximately 75,000 miles on the odometer. Today my Mercedes is pushing the 242,000-mile mark. I want to express my genuine appreciation to you and your talented German Motors staff for the years of fantastic service that has been provided to the "old Benz". Your establishment has always been fair and has maintained the estimated scope, schedule and cost. On every departure I was comfortable the car had received the proper maintenance and attention. You have always obliged when I requested a quick turnaround. Thank you for providing me with many wonderful, reliable years of driving experience. Because of you and German Motors' proven reputation there is no other Mercedes garage that I'll allow to service the vehicle.

Mark, Billi and all the crew,
To say that you guys do a good job would be like saying: Cary Grant was cute, Mohammad Ali had a decent punch, Ella Fitzgerald could carry a tune. The fact is, your touch is magical. Every time I bring my SLK in it comes out like a new car. No one else has worked on my Benz for over three years … and no one else ever will. Your expertise and devotion to service would be enough, yet your friendliness and great coffee for us early-morning customers only adds to the quality you provide.
Just another satisfied customer,

German Motors recently repaired a potentially unsafe wheel-bearing condition on my 300TE and worked within my budget. Wow, it's so nice to know that they truly have my best interest in mind. I would highly recommend German Motors to anyone. The fact of the matter is it is the finest Benz repair shop I've ever used and as a businessman, Mark possesses extraordinary integrity. His business philosophy is rare indeed. I am ever grateful for German Motors' fine workmanship, understanding and friendship.

Mark is incredible! Every time I've had my Benz in for service all of the employees have been honest, professional and have done outstanding work. This is the best place in Denver to have service work done on a Mercedes. Honest, knowledgeable, helpful, friendly, and all at a great value.

Owning an old Mercedes is a risky proposition! Mark takes some of that risk out with his knowledge and skill. But, more importantly, I trust him. He makes my car purr like a kitten and gives me good advice about how to keep it running that way.

I've been taking my 2003 Mercedes to these guys for over 3 years now and have been completely satisfied with their service every time. I typically take my car in once per year for A/B service and I pay at least half of what the dealer tries to charge. In addition, they always call me with other maintenance items that I may want to have repaired. They never pressure me into doing any additional repairs and when I do, I don't feel ripped off. Perfect example - my trunk wouldn't open so the tech called to let me know he fixed it and would only charge me $100 rather then the $400 it would've cost had I taken it to the dealer. These guys are all former Mercedes Benz certified techs and know their way around these cars.

Outstanding service! My last three cars have all been serviced, repaired and otherwise had excellent care from the wonderful folks at German Motors. I value the quality of the service a very, very close second to the quality of the vehicle, and I routinely drive 4 hours to bring my car in for a checkup, service and repair. Mark is the most honest and direct mechanic I've ever met, looking out for the most cost-effective, efficient, and safest solutions to and of my car issues. He has a loyal and exceptionally well-trained staff, who put dealership service to shame. I agree with all of the comments posted by other customers above, and I too cannot recommend German Motors highly enough.

Collector of nearly a million miles on three cars cared for my Mark and Co at German Motors
Mark Yoakum and his team at German Motors have been taking care of my cars for the past 18 years, during which I've come to trust Mark's advice implicitly. Mark invests in his crew, all of whom are highly trained Mercedes Benz specialists knowledgeable in the latest Mercedes repair technology. mark has consistently demonstrated the highest integrity and always puts the customer's best interests first and foremost. If my car is having a problem and there are several possible causes, Mark and his crew start with the least serious/costly likelihood and work their way to the most serious/costly likelihood, rather than take the opposite and costliest approach. Whether I'm taking my car in for an oil service or because there's a problem, Mark and his crew inspect the car thoroughly and lets me know if there are other issues, then Mark walks me through them in order of priority, with safety issues coming first. I can't recommend German Motors highly enough.

German Motors, Mark, and his crew are simply the best. I've owned four Mercedes Benz vehicles and for the last 11 years German Motors has serviced and repaired them all, I wouldn't consider taking any of them anywhere else. Mark runs his shop with standards the dealerships can't come close to. Integrity, honesty, experience, quality, ethics, those are words I use to describe Mark and German Motors. Normally you don't hear words like that in conjunction with the word Value, but at German Motors you'll find not only the most professional and very highest quality service for your Mercedes, but it also comes with Value. There is no problem or maintenance issue they can't solve or take care of quickly, efficiently, honestly, and with great communication and explanation. The shop is always clean and bright, his crew are always dressed well and look sharp, and they are all very knowledgeable and professional.
